Human-Computer Interaction is an interdisciplinary field of study that explores human behaviour in technology-rich environments with the goal of informing the design and testing of new technologies.

MAGIC coordinates the Sub-Specialization in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) click for a listing of HCI Specialization courses. Registered UBC master students earning degrees in participating departments can also earn additional accreditation on their transcript Sub-Specialization in Human-Computer Interaction by successfully completing HCI specialization requirements in addition to those necessary for their Master’s degree.

Student Projects
For students who want to gain valuable real-life learning experiences MAGIC offers research projects so students can learn new skills and earn money. Current and past research areas and projects are listed here. If you are interested in participating in a project at MAGIC for your fourth year undergrad courses (e.g. ECE 496 or COGS 402), our current projects are listed here.
